Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – SUPPORTING THE EVIDENCE FOR ME

Iyanla Vanzant is the founder and executive director of Inner Visions International and the Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development. She is the author of 13 titles—including five New York Times bestsellers—and the Inner Visions CD Series. Peace from Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You’re Going Through has been published by SmileyBooks and available here. Iyanla is a Spiritual Technician. She is a Master Teacher. She is a woman of passion, clear vision and purpose, with a wicked sense of humor. Ordinary? Maybe. We think Dr. Maya Angelou's description is much more appropriate. Iyanla is, by many accounts, a Phenomenal Woman!

I will realize my own worth when I accept
 .  .  . what I do says a lot about who
I believe I am.

You have probably heard this statement before.  This time, really hear it.  Take it into every fiber of your being with the desire to really understand what it means. "Your life is a testimony of who you are." Your response to every experience in your life is a witness to your character.  Do you react defensively? In anger?  Or, do you respond lovingly? How you treat yourself and others will convict you or exonerate you. Do you care about yourself?  Do you provide good, loving care for yourself? How you present yourself to the world is the judge of your character.  Are you a hangman? An executioner? Or, are you a caring, compassionate comforter? What you do and how you do it is your jury. Are you biased or balanced?  Are you open or judgmental? The conditions and circumstances in which you live are your courtroom. Are you free? Or, are you mentally, emotionally or spiritually imprisoned?

As you review and examine the testimony your life is making to the world, you gather the evidence of who you really believe you are. You are the only one who can testify for you or against you! The evidence you present either builds a case for your worthiness or, against it.  What you believe about your own worthiness determines how the evidence is presented. The amount of freedom you experience, as well as the length and degree of your mental, emotional or spiritual imprisonment is determined by the evidence you present. Perhaps it is time to overturn some of your decisions.

Until today, you may not have been aware of how the conditions in your life and how you live your life demonstrate what you believe about yourself. Just for today, review the evidence and bring in a verdict. Are you worthy?  Are you not worthy?

Today, I am devoted to supporting the evidence for me and changing the evidence against me that is me!

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – MY MONEY VIBRATES

Don't show an indifference to money.
- Reverend Ike

My money vibrates, drawing like unto like.

From Acts of Faith
by Iyanla Vanzant

How many times have you passed a penny on the street without bending down to pick it up? Don't you think a penny is money? Penny has a mother, her name is dime.  Dime has a father; his name is dollar.  Dollar has many relatives in all different sizes. Dimes and dollars are very peculiar about how you treat penny.  A person with a million dollars who loses a penny is no longer a millionaire. A person who needs a penny to buy a loaf of bread may not eat. We pick and choose the kind of money we want.  We may not realize money has a vibration, and if we treat money right it will draw like unto it.  The next time you find a penny, do not be indifferent; pick it up, value it, take it home and realize you now have in your possession a close relative of the dollar.

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – LIVE WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LAW

If you do not re-verse ways of thinking, speaking and doing, you will remain on the wheel of no motion.
- Ralpha

There are universal laws that govern our ability to multiply and have supply. The law of forgiveness, when put into action, infuses the mind with natural, healthy ideas that take away the darkness and bring in the light. The law of obedience governs our movements, requiring that we act in order to receive. For everything we give must be returned, as a sacrifice never goes unnoticed. The law of increase requires that we give praise and thanks for all that we have.  The law of receiving gives us exactly what we expect. The law of attraction brings to us without delay the desires and thoughts we hold in our minds. The law of supply provides all of our needs and desires, based on our belief of its existence. When our efforts do not multiply, when our supply is not sufficient, it is quite possible that we are breaking the law.

I live within the boundaries of the law.

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – LEARNING TO COOPERATE WITH MYSELF

I will realize my own worth when I accept
.  .  . everything I set out to do
begins within me.

In order to accomplish anything in life you must have cooperation among all of the forces involved. The mind must cooperate with the body. The body must cooperate with the heart. The heart must cooperate with the desire. The desire must cooperate with the vision. The vision must cooperate with will power.  The will power must cooperate with the ability. The ability must cooperate with the opportunity. The opportunity must cooperate with the timing. The timing must cooperate with the order. Order must cooperate with the outcome. The outcome must cooperate with the mind.

The point is, you must have inner, as well as outer cooperation in order to accomplish anything in life. The level of innercooperation is determined by your sense of worth.

This means that what you think you can do, you believe you will do.  In response to what you believe you can do, you take consistent action toward that end. When you undertake any endeavor harboring a conscious or unconscious belief that you are not worthy of doing it, you will find that you are unable to move forward.

The desire to do anything is Divine. The ideas you receive are God's ideas for you. Until you believe that you, with all of your faults, can still receive Divine inspiration, it will be difficult to get your head, your heart and your body to move in one direction together.

Until today, you may not have been able to get the various aspects of your being to cooperate with your desire. Just for today, examine resistance. What are you telling yourself?  This represents mental resistance. What are you feeling? This is emotional resistance.  What steps are you taking toward manifesting your dreams and goals?  This is physical resistance. Once each is identified, ask the Holy Spirit for support in bringing each of these aspects into cooperation with the others.

Today, I am devoted to learning how to cooperate with myself!

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – BEING A DIVINE SERVANT

The greatest service I can offer is .  .  .
no expectation of recognition or reward.

Service is not about fixing, changing or helping anyone. Service is about you. Service is about giving what you have to offer without expecting recognition or reward.  It is about doing what needs to be done, as you are asked.  It means giving 100 percent of your attention to what you are doing as long as you are able to do so without causing yourself harm. Anything more than this is an attempt to gain control. Anything less than this is a disservice.

When you go into a restaurant, it is the server's job to bring you whatever you order. Let's say you order a grilled chicken breast.  It is not the server's job to slaughter the chicken!  In most cases, the server is not the one who cooks the chicken. Hopefully, the server will not add hot sauce, bar-b-que sauce, gravy or ketchup to your chicken breast unless that is what you ordered.  Nor would your server be likely to tell you about the cholesterol content of the chicken skin.  It would not be appropriate for the server to take your order and then go get a haircut. Once your meal is prepared and presented, it is unlikely that the server would cut or chew the chicken for you.  Nor would he tell you how big to cut the chicken pieces or how long to chew them.  Once you have received the meal you ordered if the server has done exactly what you asked and expected, you might leave a tip in appreciation. If the server expects the tip, he has not done his job. He has not served you.

Give what you have to offer without expectation.  Do what you are asked to do -- nothing more. Give 100 percent of your attention without causing yourself harm. Give with love. Give in joy.  More you cannot do. Less you must not do, if it is your intention to be of service.

Until today, you may not have been aware of the elements and aspects of true service.  Just for today, put forth the effort to serve, rather than trying to help someone.

Today I am devoted to being a divine servant and a servant of the Divine!

If a job isn't worth dreaming about,
it isn't worth having.

- Deborah Gregory

You cannot and will not acquire wealth working at a job you do not like. Whatever you spend your life's energy doing, you must be willing to give it your all. The more of yourself you put into your work, the greater it will reward you. We are trained to think in reverse: If you pay me better, I'll work harder.  According to the laws of abundance, it doesn't work that way.  Your job, work, life assignment must be the spark that fuels your fire. It must be a passion that you pursue. You must want it enough to do it for free. You must be willing to stick with it, taking the ups and downs, giving it all that you are for as long as you can!  You've got to taste it, smell it, know it whether you are awake or asleep.  If you do not have a lustful passion for your work, you really need to find something else to do.

I Am willing to work at what I love.

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – CHOOSING WHAT I AM FOR

The greatest service I can offer is .  .  .
resisting the tendency to be resistant.

There is a process of living that few of us know much about but many of us practice.  It is a way of living and being that creates hostility and bad feelings. This process has even led to war!  It is a process that pits your good against the good of someone else. In order to engage in the process, one must believe in right vs. wrong. Good vs. bad.  My way vs. your way. In the midst of the process, people are hurt.  Sometimes lives are lost, and for all the arguing or fighting that goes on, nothing is ever proven conclusively.  The process is against-ness.

To be against something is to deem it unworthy of consideration or bad at the very least.  At worst, against-ness poses a threat to who you are, what you believe in and what you want in life. Against-ness is the belief that if someone gets what they are after, you will not get what you are after.  If you believe that you have the right way to the good thing, it stands to reason that everyone else is wrong.  You are constantly on the lookout to ensure that the thing you are against is not coming near.  Unfortunately, the harder you look for it, the more of it you will see.

The way to live without against-ness is to live from a place of for-ness. Rather than working against  something, simply be for something else.  Invest your time, energy and attention in working to bring about the things that you desire to experience. When you are confronted by something that challenges what you are working toward, do not be against it!  Allow other things to exist.  Simply choose to put your attention elsewhere.

Until today, you may have been expending so much energy working against certain things that you have not been working for anything else. Just for today, drop all against-ness. Focus your attention elsewhere. Just for today, drop all against-ness. Focus your attention and energy on the things that you can stand up for.

Today I am devoted to allowing everything the right to exist and choosing what I am for!

You must begin wherever you are.
- Jack Boland

If you are waiting for something to happen before you begin what you want to do, it will never happen. If you are waiting to get something before you do what you say you want to do, you will never get started.  If you are waiting for the right time, the right person, the right circumstances, you could be waiting forever. How about this, what can you do right now? Can you write a letter? Make a call? Finish a plan?  Structure a goal? Can you pick a name? Paint a wall? Ask a question?  Sweep a floor?  Can you structure a schedule? Can you project a date? Can you fulfill a promise?  Can you read a book?  Can you stop doing all the things you do that keep you from doing the one thing you want to do?  Can you pray? Can you sing? Can you dance right where you are?  Whatever you can do, you better do it now. Now is all you have to work with.

There is a soul force in the universe, which, if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.
- Mahatma Gandhi

Each of us on some level tries to elevate ourselves to a new height, a higher standing, a better way of being.  Unfortunately, that is why we don't get where we want to be, because we are trying to do it.  The power is right where we are.  The power is the essence of all that is good. The power is divine. When we believe in the power and seek to make conscious contact with it the power, not the self, will bring into our lives the very things we are struggling to do. The power will operate in all of our affairs, going before us to prepare our path. The power wants joy, peace, perfect health, abundant wealth and loving relationships for us.  The power is the living spirit within buried beneath the personality, ego, perceptions, fears and doubts. The power is the truth of who we are.  The power is available; all we have to do is invite it forward and move out of the way.

Today, I Am one with the living spirit who will do the work through me and for me.

Iyanla Vanzant Daily Stimu-Mail – ELIMINATING ALL EXCUSES

Iyanla Vanzant is the founder and executive director of Inner Visions International and the Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development. Iyanla is, by many accounts, a Phenomenal Woman!

I will know peace when .  .  .
I stop finding excuses for
what I am not doing.

You can fool some people some time but, you can never fool yourself.  You can tell yourself almost anything to excuse away your fear. The bad news is, you will actually believe it for awhile. The good news is, there will come a time when the excuse will not be strong enough or, big enough to camouflage your fear. Eventually what you tell yourself will begin to sound so weak, so lame, so utterly ridiculous that you will have a hard time convincing yourself or anyone else that it is real. When that time comes don't be defensive. At times, we can be down right indignant when people refuse to accept the things we know are no longer acceptable, plausible or feasible. In other words, there will come a time when even the best of us must face the thing we fear.

As long as there is something you fear lurking in the back of your mind, you cannot, will not, have peace of mind.  As long as you have an excuse for limiting, restrictive behaviors in which you engage, peace will elude you. When you find yourself defending yourself for taking or not taking a particular action, you are defying the foundation upon which peace is built. Truth! There is nothing wrong with waiting until you feel ready.  There is nothing wrong with doing what you can to prepare yourself to take a leap into the unknown. When however, you do either of these to the point of avoiding what you say you really want to do; when you know you are afraid but refuse to admit it, accept it or confront it, there is no way you can have peace of mind.  In fact, if you insist on defending the excuse you may lose your mind.

Until today, you find yourself making excuses for not confronting the things you fear. You may be giving yourself a great excuse for remaining in a relationship, work environment, or living arrangement that is not fulfilling.  Just for today, lay down all of your excuses. Ask yourself, "What am I afraid of that makes me stay here?" Make a list of the responses that come to mind. Prayerfully offer the list to the Holy Spirit asking for guidance about the way out. Repeat the process as often as necessary until all excuses vanish from your mind.

Today, I am devoted to eliminating all excuses that camouflage fear!

Life is not a problem.  If we live, we live; if we die, we die; if we suffer, we suffer; it appears that we are the problem.
- Alan Watts

What is prosperity?  A mental state.  A functional attitude that draws to you an abundance of every great thing.  How do you get prosperity?  Expect it.  Always ask for the highest and best; never doubt that it will come.  What does prosperity look like?  Look in the mirror.  You are prosperity.  Prosperity is your birthright.  It is up to you to recognize your free access to an inexhaustible supply of all things good and desirable.  You were born into prosperity.  It is your inheritance as a child of the kingdom, a child of the universe.  You have been given a body capable of doing almost anything.  It is up to you to convince your mind that you can.  You have been given power, dominion and authority over everything in the world.  It is up to you how you use it.

When I look at me, I am looking at prosperity.
